Introduction
Booster (“we”, “our”, “us”) is made by Union Street Studios, LLC. It is a daily Instagram coach: it studies reels that are working, tells you what to film and say, and publishes to your Instagram account when you ask it to. The same Instagram integration powers our companion app, Mission Control. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Booster or Mission Control, you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
Phone number: Used to verify your account with a one-time SMS code and to identify your account on our servers.
Connected account data: When you connect an Instagram professional account through Instagram’s own login, we receive an access token together with your handle, display name, profile photo URL, follower counts, and your recent public posts and their engagement. We store these so Booster can learn your voice and show your growth. We never receive or store your Instagram password.
Onboarding preferences: Your goals, audience, schedule, tone, interests, and experience level, used to personalize your plan.
Your content: Messages you exchange with your coach, scripts and captions it writes with you, videos and photos you attach so Booster can publish them, the posts you publish through the app, and your session history.
Inspiration you give us: Public Instagram accounts you tell Booster to learn from and public post links you paste. We fetch those public posts, including captions and video, to analyze what is working. We do not access private accounts and we never use your Instagram login to browse.
Device data: A push notification token if you allow notifications, your time zone so reminders land at the right time, and basic usage analytics such as which screens you open.
Referral data: Referral codes you generate or use.
How We Use Information
To research what to post, to write scripts and captions in your voice, to publish content you ask us to publish, to show your growth, to send reminders you have opted into, to process your subscription, and to keep the app reliable. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles of people other than you.
How We Share Information
We share data only with the service providers that run the app, under contracts that require them to protect it: Amazon Web Services hosts our servers, database, and the videos you attach. Anthropic’s Claude models write scripts, captions, and session plans from your messages, your preferences, and the public posts you point Booster at; audio in reference reels may be transcribed by OpenAI. Twilio delivers verification codes. Apple delivers push notifications and processes subscriptions. PostHog provides usage analytics. Instagram receives the content you choose to publish. All of them process data in the United States.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose data when required by law or to prevent fraud or abuse.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Disconnecting Instagram inside the app immediately deletes that access token. Videos you attach are deleted after they are published or within 7 days. Deleting your account in the app, or emailing us, removes your profile, connected accounts, sessions, and history within 30 days. You can also revoke Booster from Instagram’s Apps and Websites settings.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest, and your session token is kept in the iOS Keychain.
Your Rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data by emailing us. Your rights may vary by region, including under GDPR and CCPA, and we honor them wherever they apply.
Children
Booster isn’t for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will update the date above and note it in the app.
